Spectre Meter Privacy Policy

Spectre Meter: EMF Detector · Last updated 14 October 2026

Spectre Meter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you record leaves your device unless you choose to share it yourself.

What the app reads

Spectre Meter reads your device's magnetometer — the sensor your phone already uses for its compass — to measure the strength of the magnetic field around it. These readings are processed on your device, in memory, for the length of a session. A magnetic field reading does not identify you and is not personal data.

What you create in the app

During a session you can enter a session name and evidence notes. This text stays on your device. We never see it and it is never uploaded.

Where your session data goes

Permissions

Spectre Meter asks for only what it needs to run a session:

Network access is also listed, because it is included by the framework the app is built on. Spectre Meter makes no network requests and sends nothing anywhere.

It does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, files or photos.

Children

Spectre Meter is suitable for general audiences. Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.

Third parties

The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software. No data is shared with anyone, because none is collected.
